National Museum

I have been wanting to visit the National Museum since last year after learning about their free admissions, for the National Heritage Month. I mean, who doesn't love free anything? Lol. My sister and I were supposed to visit but I was busy with school, so she selfishly decided to go by herself. 

Flash forward to 2015, I don't know why, but the sudden urge to visit was there again. And I finally did!

Spolarium by Juan Luna. Side story: After going around the whole museum, my friend and I went back to the main gallery (aka this room) to rest and came across this group with a tour guide explaining stuff about the Spolarium (which is unfortunately inaudible) but he turned off the lights above it and the painting looked so different! I actually don't know what words to use to describe it but, gosh it felt like the art was talking to me lol.

I really loved how they color coordinate the rooms! Maybe to help non-artsy people who just went for photos, remember if they've been there already? Just a theory...

Of course I had to pretend I am trying to decode any symbolism in this grass painting...

They had big windows all over. It was sooo nice especially with the sun light peeping in. A reminder that I have to have big windows in my future home.

It felt like we were in a mini amazing race because we were trying to get ahead of everyone else so we have time to have the room all to ourselves hahaha

This room is so neat! Look at how properly aligned these frames are. Ironically, this shot isn't. Remind me and Clare to bring a photographer friend next time!

I think it took us 3 hours to finish the entire place but surprisingly it felt bitin. I guess the museum gods heard us and led us to another museum which is just across! I forgot what it's called and accidentally deleted the few photos I took there (my battery died!). I guess I just have to visit again?

Plains and Walls

The random photoshoot we did during our Commune visit. The place was a perfect backdrop! The baristas were nice enough to leave the counter so we can proceed with our business and patiently waited until we finished haha!

Commune

Cute coffee shops are everywhere and is such a trend right now. Most people actually go there because of the place and not the coffee, lol. I became a fan of coffee shops because k-dramas always have them making it even more enticing, well at least for me. 

I went to visit Commune in Makati with a few friends just because we wanted photos with an artsy background lol

We also had lunch in here and was kinda surprised with the menu. They only sell filipino dish like ginataang adobo, beef adobo, etc (thats what we ordered). We were expecting there'd be pasta and the like. The ginataang adobo was super spicy that all I can remember with the taste is it's spiciness! 

I accidentally deleted the photos that I took so I only have these instagram photos left that doesn't look good at all. But I guess it's better than nothing haha. We had this little photoshoot as well (our main agenda haha) but I'll save it for another blog post x

Kaye's graduation + COF after party

Last April 26, our highschool barkada had another reason to get together and celebrate for two days because of Kaye's graduation! The weather was really annoying that day as it is scorching hot the whole travel to UP Los Baños and then the rain suddenly poured just when we were about to leave the car. We felt bad for the graduates especially the girls who had their hair and makeup done. The graduation was held in an open area by the way. After Kaye's name was called we went straight to the private pool resort for the celebration.We werent complete as the others were too busy with their own business but we had the greatest time as usual. Here are the photos from Raine and Wows! 

We were finally able to take photos when the rain stopped. Look at how muddy my shoes are!

These were supposed to be roses but Raine, Jiks and Zer ended up buying sampaguita from a kid vendor

Everyone barely had any sleep because we were laughing the whole night and  I shared my bed with two other friends! And just when I was able to fall asleep Raine's phone started started playing "all of meeeee, loves all of yoouuuu" and we started laughing because almost all of us were still awake! And that was around 4 or 5 am I think. Ahhhh it was really funny! I can never imagine life without them! That's it for now I guess ;)
