Amor Bakery and Café

I found a bread paradise! I am a big bread fanatic, and Amor is heaven sent- no kidding! I fell in love the moment I walked in, that's why I am making this well deserved appreciation post. I can't even believe I took so much photos of a bakery!

 Tried the Blueberry Mash Donut and became an instant favorite! Crunchy bread? Yes, please!

Tried the French Custard Bun too. I was having second thoughts on getting this one as I hate fillings that are too sweet, almost over empowering the bread- but no, this bun did not disappoint! Huhu can I just eat bread forever?

I'd definitely go back and try all of Amor's bread. I mean, yeah, maybe they're just as nice as Bread Talk and French Baker and all the other bread shops out there, but didn't you see how good the interior and ambiance was?? Haha definitely an experience!

Random Wednesdays: series I'm watching

I have to admit, one of my guilty pleasures is watching my favorite korean series. If given all the time in this world without having to worry about anything, I would choose binge watching all day, everyday. Lol. Korean production teams are such experts at making me waste my time at all these unbelievably pretty characters with unrealistic life situations and undeniable chemistry, and pretty clothes too huhu (not complaining though!) 

And just a few days ago, I started watching Pinocchio. A story basically about love and revenge. I am not as hooked as I was with It's Okay That's Love (which I finished in two nights) and You Who Came From The Stars, but this one's kind of okay. I think Park Shin Hye did a better job in here as compared to Heirs (I still have a crystal clear memory of her reaction with all her kissing scenes with LMH, lol). It is also note worthy that they tried to change the stereotypical chaebol character!

Anyway, that's all there is to this post. Since I am so bum, I decided to have these Random blog post series where I share with you the series I'm watching, songs that I'm listening to and all the other non-sensical things I am doing. 

P.S. I am down to my last two episodes of Pinocchio! 

10th of July: a year older

I recently turned 22 *gasp* and it still amazes me how so many things can happen in such a short span of time. It is not always a fun ride, but there are definitely so many things to be thankful for (i.e. an interview with a broadcasting network on the day of my birthday - which basically took more than half of my day)

Anyhow, I am so excited with what the rest of 2015 has to offer. Looking forward to a one crazy ride!

Mt. Batulao Hike

If I received and invitation to go hiking five years ago, no would be an immediate answer. I have never imagined myself doing any sporty activity let alone climb a mountain! But fortunately, people change (and yes, thanks to pop culture. That Thing Called Tadhana, anyone?) and I was able to reach my first summit last February.

We didn't want to get a guide at first because we thought climbing was easy peesy (lol us) and getting one is unnecessary. But Jeff (who is just 12 years old!) was insisting that we need one and gave us a discounted rate of 350 instead of 500. We gave him more after the climb though because he honestly deserves more!

We were nowhere near the jump-off point. Picture muna! Lol

The hike was unbelievably long. Prior to this, we searched online and most of them said that the hike is good for 2-3 hours. I believe it took us 5 hours!

The fun part! A long cue of hikers awaits you before reaching the summit because of the rappelling. It's really steep, and only one hiker at a time can do it. Kind of scary at first but when patience gets in the way, I guess nothing matters. Most of the hikers who are pro got really impatient and preferred to legit mountain climb (you know, like climbing using your hands and get really dirty.. lol I don't know what I'm saying, but you get my point). We let Raine go rappelling first but after some time we decided to climb just like the others. It was so fulfilling! We kinda rock, lol. 

Finally, the summit!

Honestly, we all kind of said "ito na yun?" upon reaching the top. The view was nice but it didn't look/feel the same as it looks like on movies hahaha sorry for expecting too much! Also, it was kind of crowded since hikers are trying to maybe feel the moment? Or maybe just rest lol.

Eating ice cream after such a long hike is nothing but nice. Nostalgia hit me after eating kuya's ice cream. Remember those popsicles sold by the beach with pinipig, cheese, and buko flavors?

There are two options in climbing Mt. Batulao. Either you go up via the old route and then go down via the new route (which is what we did) or vice versa. I recommend going the same way as we did!

So happy that I did this climb! Now every time my family and I pass by Mt. Batulao I keep bragging and I never get tired of it. It was such a refreshing experience, seeing beautiful views, meeting new people and having more memories to keep with my friends.. aside from having instagrammable photos, of course.
